De Kempen Verhuur, founded in 2006, has been part of the Willy van Doorne International holding since 2016. De Kempen Verhuur is a niche division of DIF-RENT; together, they account for a rental fleet of approximately 400 tractor units, trucks, vans, and specific “Waste sector” vehicles.
With a key handover at the DAF dealership Truck Trading Limburg in Houthalen, De Kempen Verhuur adds another 5 new DAF vehicles to its fleet.
De Kempen Verhuur's target group consists of intermunicipal associations, municipalities, transport companies, and all potential customers active in environmental management and waste processing. This means that the rental fleet features a wide variety of vehicles.
Think of gully vacuum trucks, classic refuse trucks, dual-compartment refuse trucks, sweepers, weed brushers, vacuum trucks, but also trucks with a container hook system and mounted crane.
Currently, the company manages the largest fleet of cleaning vehicles in our country.
Clemens van Rijn, Sales and Operations Manager at De Kempen Verhuur, explains:
“We offer a tailor-made solution for every customer. This means that we configure a vehicle that offers the best-fitting solution for the customer's requirements and needs. We have around forty specific trucks linked to the ‘Waste sector’ and we expand our fleet further every year.
This allows us to respond quickly to the customer's rental needs when a vehicle breaks down or is out of service due to an accident, and to quickly provide a replacement. At the same time, we offer the possibility to maintain and repair the vehicles through our extensive DAF & Mercedes-Benz dealer network owned by Willy van Doorne International.”
After all, that is not something you can go to just any dealer for. Our trucks have specific bodywork that, for example, makes extensive use of hydraulic components. This requires quite a bit of knowledge from the maintenance technicians, which is why we collaborate with our specialized dealer network, which possesses the necessary expertise. Furthermore, through the DAF concession companies of the Truck Trading Group, we have technical depots in Wijnegem, Puurs, Houthalen, and Henri-Chapelle en Bande. Thanks to the collaboration with DIF-RENT, it is also easy to arrange tractor units or standard trucks for customers, for example. Quite a few customers in the De Kempen Verhuur market segment regularly require work for tractor units with a hydraulic pump to power walking floor trailers.

The majority of De Kempen Verhuur's fleet consists of DAF trucks, but other brands are also included in the range, explains Clemens van Rijn: “We also have Mercedes-Benz and Iveco in our fleet. We supply whatever the customer requests. It is also logical that intermunicipal associations, which primarily work with public tenders, do not always end up with the same brand when it comes to purchasing and building.” For De Kempen Verhuur does not just rent; the company can also handle the sale and construction of the vehicles. “We work mainly with Belgian bodybuilders. There are a number of good reasons for this: Mol VDK not only delivers excellent quality and custom work, but they also provide us with advice and support regarding service and maintenance. Also, the short lines of communication to Mol VDK, Geesink and Faun is important to us. They ensure that our workshops and dealers can respond quickly and smoothly when necessary.
